About Essential Harvest
At Essential Harvest, we believe that true wellness is a holistic approach. Tallow has many healing benefits as it is naturally anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial. It is rich in vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K, alpha linoleic and linoleic acids, stearic acid and oleic acid, and many other nutrients making it extremely compatible with the oil of our skin. These qualities make tallow the perfect non-toxic healing moisturizer for our skin.

Our tallow journey started after an accident that resulted in a large scar on our daughter's leg. We were determined to find something that would heal, nourish, and diminish signs of scarring, which led us to tallow balm. After trying others on the market, we decided to control the quality and purity of the ingredients by sourcing our beef tallow locally from an organic farm that humanely raises cows who are grass-fed, grass-finished, grain free, chemical free, drug free, steroid free, pesticide free, and hormone free. All of our ingredients are either pure or organic and from the most reputable sources.
If you have ever purchased tallow before you know that every batch rendered will be unique - the texture, smell, and color are all determined by the age and diet of the cow, but also the time of year the tallow was acquired; even the temperature in which you keep your house compared to mine will change the texture of the tallow. You will notice that each jar may not be exactly the same, but you can rest assured knowing that the quality of the ingredients as well as our process to render is the same each time we render. While we take these variables into account while producing each batch you may notice the final texture and scent is unique to each jar.
